We collaborated with the University of Nairobi's Centre for Human Rights and Peace (UoN-CHRP) to organise an inspiring Arts Competition. Launched on 12 September 2023, the initiative concluded with a vibrant public art exhibition on 17 November 2023, followed by a prestigious Award Ceremony on 18 November 2023.

The competition sought to spark reflection on the critical role of equitable and universal access to quality public services in realising human rights, reducing inequalities, and fostering just, inclusive, and equal societies.
Image

Goal

Enhance students’ awareness about the significance of public services. Provide a platform for students to share their perspectives, experiences, and insights on public services as a fundamental right. Inspire the next generation of advocates for public services while fostering greater understanding of their essential role in society.
Image

Methodology

Students explored human rights and public services through diverse artistic expressions, working both collaboratively and individually. Their interpretations took shape through paintings, sculptures, poetry, dance and other creative mediums.
Image

Impact

The competition fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas and empowered young voices to champion economic, social and cultural rights, as well as the delivery of equitable, high-quality public services in Kenya.
